![]() HELP! Keeping these games up for free costs me money. If your Sega CD or TG16-CD game has MP3 tracks then you need to convert them to WAV and edit the CUE sheet. *Note about MP3 tracks! RetroArch doesn't support MP3 tracks. I can't say the same for competing emulators Shining Force CD freezes on "MD.emu". However it seems Shining Force CD and Popful Mail (which require Perfect Sync on PC emulators) work fine on it. *Note about Perfect Sync! RetroArch doesn't have a Perfect Sync feature. Note that the Sega CD BIOS files need to be renamed to "bios_CD_E.bin" (Europe), "bios_CD_U.bin" (US), and "bios_CD_J.bin" (Jap) and they need to be placed in the main root folder of your ROMs (you can set the folder in config). Don't forget that the BIOS files are still required, which I have in my emulators page. On your PC that's not a problem, but portable devices don't have a lot of space (and we tend to pack it with apps and MP3s). Keep in mind that (as you can see by the memory sizes below) these games take up around 300-600 MB in size. To play these games on an Android smartphone or tablet, download RetroArch from my emulators page. TO PLAY THESE GAMES ON AN ANDROID DEVICE. PCE.emu (a top TG16/PCE emualtor on Android) also requires WAV-based games. Playing games on a multi-system emulator such as Mednafen on Windows and RetroArch on Android.Note that the TurboGrafx16/Turbo Duo/PC Engine system does not have copy protection and can play CD-R copies with no problem :) But it's pretty useless for emulators since none of them support MP3 tracks (yet). This version is intended if you want to have the soundtrack. The "MP3" download has all the tracks as MP3.If you download Ys IV from here, please read the ReadMe text file contained in it because it has information and reflections Nightwolve would like you to read. However, the Ys IV download that I have here is fully patched with Nightwolve's unofficial fan based English translation and English voice dubbing! Cool huh? If you want to learn more about it, check out his Ys IV project page. Remember that Ys IV was only released in Japan. They're a part of my emulation help site: Video Game Emulation for Newbies. If you need assistance with these emulators, I have a MagicEngine tutorial and a Mednafen tutorial. You can download it from my emulators page. Mednafen, however, has awful usability! It runs games fine, but it'll take a while for you to get used to its clunky interface (or lack of thereof). It's the only emulator that can boot TG16-CD ISOs. ![]() That means you must burn the game to a CD-R in order to play it. However it costs $20 and it does not support booting from ISO files. To begin with, I recommend MagicEngine for emulating TurboGrafx16-CD games. MD.emu (a top Genesis emualtor on Android) also requires WAV-based Sega CD games. Playing Sega CD games on a multi-system emulator such as Mednafen on Windows and RetroArch on Android. ![]() ![]() Note that the Sega CD system does not have copy protection and can play CD-R copies with no problem :) This version is intended for two reasons:
